Paris - A City in France

Paris is the capital city of France, and also the largest city in France. It is the center of French commerce, financial and industry, and the center of the world’s fashion and mode. It’s considered as one of the richest cities in the world.

Paris is located on both banks of Seine River, about 90 miles from the English Channel. It stands in the center of the Paris Basin. The highest land area of Paris is Montmartre, a famous hill in the northern section of Paris.

It has many historical buildings and monuments, such as magnificent Gothic Cathedral Notre Dame, Hotel des Invalides which houses Napoleon’s tomb, the Grand Opera House, and the Avenue des Champs Elysees. The Avenue of Champs Elysees is one of Paris’ most famous streets. It also has Arch de Triomphe and the celebrated Eiffel tower (984 feet high). There is also Louvre Museum which houses art works of famous artist such as Leonardo da Vinci with his “Monalisa”

Paris specializes in such luxury products as perfumes, cosmetics, fashions, and leather good. There are approximately 3,5 million people living in the metropolitan area, often called “Parisians”. They mostly love fashions, polite, and warm. The men are romantic and the women are beautiful and fashionable.
